I went to the mountain to see the stars.
I observed the stars, but the most memorable thing was the instant ramen noodles, cooked with a tiny portable cooking stove.
The noodles were getting soggy in the invisible darkness.
Soaking up the soup and the noodles are expanded.
The ramen noodles surprisingly created a new taste.
Despite being invisible in the dark, the noodles got swelled.
I try fixing my eyes
It was after I put out the fire when I realized that I was seeing the stars in the darkness.

Masami Fujii released the series,
“Oblaat” (starch paper), impressions of misty pastel toned snap shots,
for the 26th Photography Hitotsubo Exhibition (2006).
Afterward, when Fujii had dropped off the film for processing without having realized she hadn't successfully wound the film,
thus exposing it to light. Later on the lab informed her that the film was not developable.
When Fujii saw these negatives and felt knowing that based on textbook knowledge, these are called failures,
but she questioned that. Now, she is reinvestigating what is called, “failed photographs” as a new series of work.
Fujii combines “failed photographs”, such as scratched negatives during processing or accidentally light leaked negatives during winding,
with her usual straightforward snapshot photographs and intentionally double exposed photographs to recreate the series.
As well as her other previous series, Fujii’s new work also can feel her warm soul into mundane scenes that has been taken for granted.
Furthermore, each clean photograph gives a glimpse of its individual story to stimulate our imagination sprung from viewing the work.
So, what are these “failed photographs”?… Please take a close look at this work!
